Huffington Post 5/4 Republicans think Obama hates America
In this poll, results showed that the majority of Republicans think Obama hates America. This is a shocking result that this large majority of people think our president does not love our country. Has partisan politics really come to this?

The Boston Globe 4/4 GOP candidates divided over gay marriage
This article described how abruptly the GOP candidates disagree about gay marriage. The reason I find this important is because with our partisan politics it shows that although there are two sides, there is still partisanship within the separate parties.

Rudy Giuliani: I Received Death Threats In Wake Of Obama Comments

This article reached me because it shows how radical some people really are in ties to their political preference. It takes some real anger to threaten someone's life over comments they made about your political leader.
Huffington Post 2/4 Al Quida urges attacks on American Malls
This was an article where I could make a connection between something I learned in a previous history class and could give it relevance to this situation. The Al Quida made a video urging attacks on US malls (also Canada and Britain). In the past i learned that terrorist groups love using this kinda of propaganda as a shock factor and to strike fear into people. However, the FBI admitted that they do not know of any plotted terrorist attacks on these malls.  Yet, the group was able to explicitly name out a few malls which is scary. They do their research too.
Huffington Post 1/4 Scott Walker Not Sure if Obama Christian
In this article the 2016 candidate clearly states that he is not sure if Obama is a christian. The reason I'm identifying this as a problem is because America likes to cling to tradition when it comes to Gov. There is an ideal image the president is expected to keep and their is dispute whether Obama fits that mold. A more previous example would be the dispute over whether or not he is actually an American citizen.

Huffington Post 3/5 Officer Indicted of Killing Akai Gurley
Again, another police case. I'm sure many incidents similar to this have happened in the past. An accidental gun discharge kills an innocent person. This case may be in the media just because the victim was black and lived in the projects. Cases like this continue to pop up, especially after Ferguson.
Huffington Post 3/4 Bush Staffer Praises MLK for not Sagging
This Bush staffer has been under light since his comments have set off a reaction. As a staffer you need to watch how you engage in social media and also don't affiliate a civil rights leader with racial stereotypes.
Huffington Post 3/3 Virgina Woman Dies after being Tasered in Custody
This article is another account this year of potential police brutality. It will be interesting to see how this media sparks a reaction amongst people, and if there will be any changes in laws regarding tasers, which are designed to be nonlethal.
Huffington Post 3/2 One Democrat Wants to Bring Death Penalty to Michigan
This was a good article because it highlighted the difficulty to bring back a punishment such as this one. The article also talked about how a joint committee was introduced in the senate on this topic.
Huffington Post 3/1 Jeb Bush's staffer resigns
This article shows the responsibility and standards you are expected to be held to as a staffer. Also it shows the young age of staffers and how they can be more prone to mishaps like the one in this areticle.
